  1. Caraway Bold is a Type 1 Postscript Font that is distinctive, scalable, and a 
  2. pleasure to read.  I like to think of it as the handwriting I always wanted 
  3. but 
  4. could never come close to.  An all-purpose font, Caraway Bold even looks good 
  5. when italicized!  A companion font, Caraway Book, is also being designed.

  7. You are welcome to install Caraway Bold, just drag the files CarawBol and 
  8. CarawayBold.AFM into your system folder, and use the Font/DA mover (or 
  9. Suitcase II etc.) to install the file CarawayBold.bitmap into your system 
  10. file. 
  11. With Adobe Type Manager, it looks great on-screen or with non-Postscript 
  12. output 
  13. (to save downloading time for you, I've only included 24 point bitmap,  but 
  14. other sizes are available on order).  Take a look at it, print some out, have 
  15. fun.

  17. Caraway Bold is being distributed as SHAREWARE.  This allows you to try it 
  18. out 
  19. before you decide whether it's worth keeping.  If you keep it and use it, The 
  20. Author (that's me) requests that you pay him $10 by check or money order in 
  21. US 
  22. funds.  If you are using it for commercial purposes, please pay $25.  When I 
  23. receive and cash your check, you are granted a license to use Caraway Bold 
  24. (the Author maintains the copyright).  If you don't like it, or don't feel 
  25. it's 
  26. worth $10 to you, drag it into the trash, or let your friends & associates 
  27. take 
  28. a look instead.

  30. You are free to distribute & upload Caraway Bold, provided that you keep all 
  31. of these files (especially with this one!) TOGETHER AND ABSOLUTELY UNALTERED. 
  32. Please don't sell Caraway Bold or use it as an incentive to sell something 
  33. else.

  35. If you feel too lazy/cheap/busy to send me a check, imagine how long it takes 
  36. to make and refine a typeface, drawn completely de novo.  Think how much you 
  37. would have paid for a font like this retail. The more people respond 
  38. favorably, 
  39. the more incentive I'll have to make new and better typefaces, and support 
  40. the 
  41. ones I've made...the shareware concept makes computing better for all of us.
